Founder: James Staggs
James Staggs C.A.D.C. began in the chemical dependency field of treatment in 1995 in Orange County, California as a counselor in the adolescent program in which James became the Case Manager and lead counselor. In 1996 James began working tough Love Groups and working part time in a residential adult program in Orange County, Ca. Later over the years James became a Clinical Director where he was able to supervise a staff of 20 employees and monitor all treatment for a 50 bed facility of adults. Through this time James was able to continue working with clients and their families in all aspects of treatment. James is excited to open Action Recovery Services, Inc., an adult treatment program in the greater Palm Springs, California area. There will be a team of professionals from the first call, during treatment and after a successful completion of the program to assist our clients with long term sobriety.
Dr. Janik (Consultant)
Andrew Janik, M.D. is a board certified Psychiatrist with added qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry. He is a founding member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry and is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Janik was one of the pioneers in the treatment of patients with coexisting psychiatric disorders and addictions. Dual diagnosis treatment combines detoxification with active treatment of both addictive and psychiatric disorders. Eighteen years ago he established the first hospital based treatment program for dual diagnosed in the Palm Springs area.
He has appeared in the national media, been psychiatric consultant to several chemical dependency programs, and has been active in the treatment of health care professionals. He recently served as Medical Director of psychiatric services at Desert Regional medical Center and is Medical Director of out patient services at Hi Desert Medical Center.
His current interests include the psycho-pharmalogical treatment of patients with complicated mood and anxiety disorders. He is licensed by the Drug Enforcement Administration to provide office based Buprenorphine detoxification and treatment to opiate addicted patients.
Facility Management
The last several years Robert has been a manager in an adult program and an adolescent program. Robert brings a unique quality of compassion, dedication and is a role model to the clients. Action Recovery Services, Inc. is proud to have Robert as our facility manager to help assist our clients in their day to day challenges in their recovery. Each home has twenty four hour staff working to assist clients with their recovery plans and their daily schedules. |
